Hjerno has its own test moulding division...
It is extremely important both for our customers and for us that our tools are tested and fine-tuned and that the items are perfect before the mould is put into production.
This is why we invested in a small injection moulding division a couple of years ago and, to be honest, it was the best investment we ever made! Although we are Denmark’s oldest tool factory, we have learnt an incredible amount in the past few years from this final tool check capability.
We have of course only procured standard machinery which means that highly specialised jobs still need to be test-moulded with the customer. We prefer to send out an engineer to test the mould in partnership with the customer on site.
Test moulding takes place after ‘systematic commissioning’, and the customer is provided with components produced under pressure that is too low, correct and too high. We also supply run parameters for the mould.
We provide the customer with a small number of components before the delivery of the mould for approval. If there are any corrections to be made to the mould on the basis of the test moulding, we carry out a new trial shot after correction to ensure that the customer receives a perfect component.
It should be noted that we only cast smaller sample ranges in our casting division. We do not offer production of parts in larger numbers.
