Repair and maintenance...
Hjerno has its own separate repair and maintenance division where dedicated employees carry out repair and maintenance work.
Our repair division uses all our facilities, but it also has its own specialist machinery which is aimed more specifically at repair work such as micro welding, ultrasonic cleaning, hot runner check and adjustments with all kinds of adapters, etc. as well as a wealth of spare parts so that we are able to handle most repair jobs without first having to order in any parts.
Many of the tools that come in for repair or maintenance are ones that we have previously produced. We therefore have all the applicable drawings which our repair division is able to retrieve from our IT system and from which they work in 3D. All our employees are well-versed in the use of our CAD and CAM systems.
We naturally prefer to be in possession of 3D materials for the tools that we have not produced ourselves, but for tools where such drawings do not exist, we usually measure the areas on which repair or maintenance is to be carried out. We can then work on these tools based on programmed CAM processes so that we are able to use the latest technology on these tools as well.
Our repair division is able to handle tools weighing up to 7 tons.
